About This Role
We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for :
- Performing mechanical properties testing
- Evaluation of in-house heat-treated parts
- Assisting with failure analysis projects
- Checking incoming parts for metallurgical conformance
- Evaluating microstructures of steel, aluminum, and other materials
- Assisting in monitoring of plating and cleaning solutions (wet chemistry)
- Documenting test and evaluation results
- Communicating with engineers, mentor, and internal customers in regard to materials investigations
Qualifications
- Student should be engaged in the pursuit of a B.S. in an accredited Materials Science/Engineering or Metallurgy program
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with metallurgical lab procedures
