RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in the Computer Technology industry looking for a motivated 3rd Level Support Engineer to join their support team in Spring, TX. You'll be at the forefront of diagnosing and resolving complex issues across notebooks, desktops, and Chromebooks for enterprise customers. Experience with network connectivity is preferred. Responsibilities:
* Investigate and resolve advanced network-related issues such as connectivity failures, driver conflicts, VPN disruptions, and firewall configurations
* Collaborate with customers, account teams, and engineering groups to replicate and diagnose issues in lab environments
* Analyze trace logs and diagnostic data to identify root causes of network failures
* Work with internal R&D and external vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Intel, AMD) to triage and resolve complex problems
* Document resolutions and contribute to knowledge-sharing resources for future support cases
* Participate in global team calls and support efforts across time zones
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
* Strong understanding of network protocols, Windows OS, and basic Linux (Redhat experience is a plus)
* Familiarity with image deployment tools (e.g., SCCM) and remote debugging utilities
* Ability to interpret diagnostic logs and USB analyzer outputs
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to collaborate with offshore teams and adapt to changing priorities
Nice to Have:
* Exposure to BIOS, drivers, and graphics subsystems
* Experience with software deployments and enterprise support environments
* Internship or project experience involving network troubleshooting or system diagnostics

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
