7126 - Senior Infrastructure Analyst (Must Reside in Sacramento, CA to be considered)
Overview
A Senior Technical Analyst is sought to provide technical subject matter expertise across a wide range of IT projects. The role will involve supporting application, infrastructure, and service deployments, collaborating with project managers, engineers, vendors, and technical staff. The analyst will act as a technical liaison, conduct assessments, generate design documentation, validate requirements, and ensure compliance with security policies, best practices, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on shared infrastructure and security components.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for project teams during service implementations and deployments.
- Conduct technical assessments of computing environments prior to deployments.
- Validate business requirements and translate into technical specifications.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical design diagrams.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors during all phases of the development life cycle.
- Represent project teams in enterprise architecture and technical working discussions.
- Validate work orders, SOWs, and vendor contracts for technical accuracy and cost analysis.
- Facilitate documentation of architecture and security reviews.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
- Contribute to network policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical assistance and support to assigned projects.
- Prepare weekly and monthly status reports.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of technical experience with network infrastructure, information security architecture, and application/system deployments.
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience with government IT projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working within government agencies or entities.
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience in data center environments.
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous IT projects across full life cycle.
- Strong background in technical project management, conflict resolution, issue escalation, status reporting, and resource management.
- Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure design concepts, including:
- Multi-tier application system design
- Client/server architecture
- System security policies and procedures
- Data center infrastructure
- Web-based application deployment
- Multi-vendor platform integration
- PKI administration
- Capacity planning
- Telecommunications and networking (routing, switching, security, remote access, proxy)
- Cloud migration and identity management
- Ability to convert business requirements into technical design and implementation plans.
- Ability to analyze issues from system documentation and recommend solutions.
- Strong technical writing experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office 365, including migration, DNS, managed file transfer, and firewall ACLs.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with local, state, or federal IT projects.
- Familiarity with SNA Gateway technologies (e.g., Microsoft HIS).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM, Oracle).
- Ability to provide samples of technical deliverables such as implementation plans, as-built documentation, test plans, or high-level diagrams.
Travel
- Minimal travel (approx. 5%).
