7127 Project Manager (Must reside in Sacramento, CA area to be considered)

Overview

We are seeking highly experienced Project Managers to support large-scale Information Technology (IT) initiatives. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience managing complex IT projects across diverse methodologies and stakeholder groups, including custom-built systems, COTS/MOTS/XaaS products, and infrastructure/operations projects.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

Candidates must meet all of the following qualifications:

  1. Project Management Experience
    • At least 10 years of Project Management experience, covering initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and/or closing processes.
    • At least 7 years of that experience must be as the sole Project Manager or Lead Project Manager.
  2. Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • At least 5 years of experience working on technology software/application projects that followed a formal SDLC.
  3. COTS/MOTS/XaaS Projects
    • At least 5 years of experience as a Sole Project Manager for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), modified off-the-shelf (MOTS), or anything as a service (XaaS) products.
  4. Infrastructure Projects
    • At least 3 years of experience as a Sole Project Manager for network infrastructure (cabling, peripherals, audio/visual equipment) or operational/client infrastructure (OS version upgrades, hardware/software deployments, device refreshes, etc.) projects.
  5. Government Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience as a Sole or Lead Project Manager working within state or local government.
  6. Project Management Tools
    • At least 5 years of experience using Microsoft Project to create and manage detailed project schedules.
    • At least 5 years of experience using Microsoft Excel, Visio, and other analytical tools.
  7. Risk and Issue Management
    • At least 5 years of experience facilitating a formal issue and risk management process.
  8. Stakeholder Management
    • At least 5 years of experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and business units.

Desirable Qualifications

It is highly desirable for candidates to have:

  1. At least 5 years of experience creating communication and Organizational Change Management (OCM) plans, and developing/delivering communication messages to varied stakeholder groups.
  2. At least 5 years of experience with Agile delivery in enterprise-wide initiatives.
  3. At least 3 years of experience with proprietary methodologies in enterprise-wide initiatives.
  4. At least 3 years of experience utilizing Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and project management tools (e.g., Clarity, Jama, Microfocus ALM).
  5. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certification that requires at least 60 months of project management experience as a prerequisite.
  6. A Bachelor s degree in a related field from an accredited or government-sanctioned college/university.
  7. Ability to adhere to a hybrid working model requiring 2 3 days per week onsite at the client s West Sacramento, CA headquarters.
