JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled Ab Initio Developer to join our team in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development using Ab Initio and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines. The role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, and other technical teams to ensure efficient data processing and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
ETL Development & Data Processing
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines using Ab Initio (GDE, Conduct>It, Express>It, Meta>Data Hub, etc.).
Develop and optimize batch and real-time processing solutions using Ab Initio components.
Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from multiple sources into data warehouses.
Build data quality and validation processes to ensure accurate and consistent data.
Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting
Fine-tune ETL jobs for performance improvements, scalability, and efficiency.
Debug and resolve ETL failures, job aborts, and data inconsistencies.
Perform root cause analysis and provide long-term solutions for system stability.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to gather and understand requirements.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments and integration.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning meetings.

Documentation & Compliance
Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, process documentation, and design specifications.
Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in ETL development using Ab Initio.
Strong proficiency in Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment) and Conduct>It.
Experience working with Ab Initio Express>It, Meta>Data Hub, and Continuous Flows is a plus.
Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, DB2, or PostgreSQL).
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL best practices.
Experience in UNIX/Linux scripting (Shell, Python, or Perl).
Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based ETL tools is an advantage.
Ability to work in an agile development environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial services or banking domains.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and data lake solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
