TEKsystems has a 3 month contract role for a ADP GlobalView Data Migration Analyst.
Our client is hiring a Data Migration Analyst to assist with a project to migrate their employee payroll from UKG and Dayforce to ADP GlobalView. This project is specific to the U.S., will impact approximately 5,000 users, and is scheduled to go-live in March 2026.
The Data Migration Analyst should be very detailed, and will support the end-to-end transition of payroll operations from UKG and Dayforce to ADP. The role will focus on data extraction, data cleansing, mapping, running parallel payrolls, identifying variances, and preparing templates/loaders for an ADP payroll implementation. The analyst will work closely with Payroll, HRIS, IT, and ADP implementation teams to ensure a smooth and accurate migration.
Required Skills & Experience:
3-5+ years of experience with data migration/analysis activities, ideally within Payroll operations, Payroll systems, or HRIS data.
Hands-on experience with UK, Dayforce, and/or ADP GlobalView is preferred.
Strong Excel skills: vlookup/xlookup, pivot tables, formulas, data cleansing.
Experience with payroll data migration, implementation, or transformation projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly around reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
Ability to manage confidential data with strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Preparation & Migration
Extract, validate, and cleanse payroll, time, and employee master data from UKG and Dayforce.
Map source data fields to ADP's data model using approved transformation rules.
Prepare and maintain ADP spreadsheet loaders for employee master, job, compensation, earning/deduction codes, and historical data.
Ensure data completeness, integrity, and compliance during conversion cycles.
2. Parallel Payroll & Testing
Execute parallel payroll runs across legacy and ADP systems.
Perform variance analysis on earnings, deductions, taxes, and net pay.
Investigate discrepancies by reviewing system configurations, payroll rules, and delivered reports.
Work closely with internal teams and ADP consultants to resolve mismatches before go-live.
3. Data Reconciliation & Controls
Reconcile employee-level data across systems (master data, compensation, time/attendance, balances).
Build reconciliation trackers and dashboards for progress monitoring.
Support SOX/audit-style controls, documentation, and sign-offs.
4. Project Documentation & Support
Maintain, data mapping sheets, test scripts, and issue logs.
Provide regular updates to the PMO and Payroll leadership.
Support go-live hypercare including defect management and payroll validation.
Other important info:
- Project stage: they have just completed development, and started the first parallel run. Testing started this past week.
- Client is using ADP as their implementation partner.
- Work hours: mainly 9:00 - 6:00 EST with some flexibility.
- Duration of project should be through mid-March, possibly longer.
