About Us:

We are a forward-thinking organization committed to leveraging technology for practice enhancement and superior client service. As part of this ongoing strategy, we are actively expanding our proprietary suite of in-house tools. We are looking for talented individuals to help us build upon our current success and drive the next phase of innovation.

The Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer and Developer to join our technology team. This is an opportunity to become an integral part of our established AI development initiative. You will be a self-starter, capable of working independently across the full development life cycle-from requirements gathering and design to implementation and support. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our framework, which integrates Google's Gemini into the core of our custom operational software-spanning everything from billing and invoicing to workflow and docketing.

If you are a developer passionate about applying AI to solve complex business problems and want to contribute to a successful, in-flight technology project, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the full, iterative life cycle of new features, including requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, and support.

  • Enhance and scale our existing framework for integrating Google's Gemini with our proprietary firm management software.

  • Collaborate directly with stakeholders to refine workflows and deploy the next generation of AI-powered features.

  • Design, build, and deploy new modules that embed generative AI more deeply into our custom operational software.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, continuing our commitment to the security and integrity of sensitive data.

  • Optimize and improve existing AI-driven features based on user feedback and performance metrics.

Must-Haves:

  • Proven experience building and maintaining business systems, with high proficiency in C# and the .NET Core framework.

  • Strong experience with web development technologies, including ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, and jQuery.

  • Demonstrated experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.

  • High proficiency in database design and management, particularly with SQL Server.

  • A problem-solver's mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into elegant technical solutions.

  • A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

  • This role requires access to systems and information subject to U.S. export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). To be considered, applicants must be legally authorized to access ITAR-controlled data under applicable federal requirements (e.g., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice to haves

  • Direct experience with large language models (LLMs) like Google Gemini, OpenAI's GPT series, or Anthropic's Claude.

  • Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

  • Experience in the legal technology sector or an understanding of law firm operations.

  • Database administration (DBA) experience.

  • A portfolio of projects demonstrating your ability to build and deploy applications.

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act, City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance.
