Title: AI Manager
Location: Iselin, NJ (Local candidates preferred)

Position Summary:
- The Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of artificial intelligence initiatives within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance operations. This role is responsible for guiding a multidisciplinary team in leveraging AI technologies to enhance operations, underwriting, claims processing, risk assessment, and customer experience. The Manager will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions align with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry s best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Roadmap
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Gen AI developers and business analysts focused on Gen AI-driven projects for P&C insurance.
- Partner with business leaders to identify, size, and prioritize Gen AI use cases. Identify opportunities for AI integration and ensure solutions address real-world insurance challenges.
- Growing our AI platform to include Agents, and Batch LLM.
- Digitization
Delivery & Execution
- Lead an agile delivery team to design, develop, and deploy models and AI-enabled applications at scale
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Gen AI models and solutions to support underwriting, claims, fraud detection, pricing, and customer service.
- Monitor project progress, allocate resources, and manage timelines to deliver high-quality results within established deadlines.
Data Governance and Security/Responsible AI
- Ensure all Gen AI initiatives comply with relevant regulatory standards, data privacy requirements, and ethical guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements (e.g., GLBA and applicable state privacy laws), secure handling of PII/NPPI, and appropriate data retention.
Stakeholder Management and Change Adoption
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team to stay current with emerging Gen AI technologies and insurance industry trends.
- Prepare and present project updates, findings, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Support change management and adoption of Gen AI solutions across the organization.
- Provide Training for others on our GenAI platform. Spread awareness.
Vendor and Budget Management
- Manage external partners and SaaS vendors for data, platforms, and AI tooling; define SOWs, SLAs, and performance measures.
- Track budgets, benefits realization, and total cost of ownership; conduct post-implementation reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in GenAI with at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory role.
- Very good knowledge of LLM capabilities and limitations
- Experience implementing LLMs in agents or other automation
- Strong understanding of GenAI, AI/ML concepts, tools, and platforms (Azure, AWS, Google).
- Proven track record of delivering Gen AI solutions that drive business value in a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and data management best practices is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry, preferably in Property & Casualty lines.
