Description

You will work on the core storage, indexing and search systems that power on-deviceSpotlight search over data on all iOS and macOS devices. You are passionate aboutbuilding performant and well-designed systems and are able to learn existing systemsquickly to understand how to bring them to the next level. You are dedicated to doingwhatever needs to be done to delight users, whether it be designing or building newcomponents, optimizing low-level system performance and resource usage, orextending and modifying existing systems to enable new search features.

Education & Experience

Bachelor or Master degree in a related field, or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with systems (e.g., database internals, operating systems, file
  • systems, or embedded systems) a plus, but not required
  • Experience with text indexing and search systems a plus, but not required
  • Experience with performance, memory or storage optimization a plus, but not
  • required
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills


Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
