Job Details

  • Design, build, and maintain API proxies on the Apigee Edge/Hybrid platform.

  • Implement API policies such as security, traffic management, transformation, and mediation.

  • Work with RESTful and SOAP web services, and backend systems to expose APIs.

  • Configure API products, developer apps, and API keys in Apigee Edge.

  • Integrate APIs with authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML.

  • Collaborate with architects and backend teams to define API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger).

  • Perform API analytics monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

  • Ensure secure API design practices and help enforce governance policies.

  • Document API design and build process for internal consumption.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Google Apigee Edge / Apigee Hybrid

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, JSON, XML, and XSLT

  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development

  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, CORS, and SAML

  • Experience with API Testing tools like Postman, SoapUI

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

  • Familiarity with logging/monitoring tools like Splunk, ELK

  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud platforms
