This Apple Vision Pro team is looking for an AR/VR Applications Engineer to help us push the limits on the next generation of spatial computing for our platform. This team is working with some of Apple's most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV). As a member of our organization you will drive exploration of future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people

Description As part of visionOS Quick Look team, you will define the overall experience of our platforms; ultimately impacting the way our customers use our products for interacting and experiencing immersive content. You will have the opportunity to work in a team to create amazing and delightful user experiences such as AR Quick Look and Measure app on iOS, to enhancing the system Quick Look experience and developing system level frameworks and technologies enabling these interactive experiences, in close collaboration with creative teams across Apple. You will work closely with Apple's framework teams and Human Interface designers - pushing you to think outside-the-box, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting problems in the AR/VR space. You will work with technologies such as RealityKit, UlKit and ARKit. You will have access to a wide variety of internal frameworks and services that will allow you to create an application that is deeply integrated into our operating systems.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in an application programming language, such as C/C++, Objective-C, Swift, etc.
  • Experience using Apple development tools and APIs
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with building AR applications and user facing experiences
  • Understanding of iOS system architecture, XPC, Extensions and how that affects solutions
  • Proficient in mathematics for 3D realtime applications and volumetric experiences (linear algebra)
  • Experience with app development concepts using frameworks like UlKit, ARKit, RealityKit etc.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for AR/VR technologies.
  • Detail-oriented approach to solving problems and building new things
  • Proof of concept development expertise
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience building complex applications that are functional, beautiful and delightful.
  • Experience delivering high quality software to end users
  • Proficiency in iOS development practices

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
