Position Summary

The AV Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for audio-visual systems across conference rooms, meeting spaces, and event venues. This role ensures seamless operation of AV equipment, video conferencing platforms, and collaboration tools to deliver high-quality user experiences for in-person and hybrid meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV systems including projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, and control panels.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, Webex).
  • Respond to AV-related support tickets promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to meetings and events.
  • Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and testing of AV equipment to ensure reliability.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate AV systems with network infrastructure and security standards.
  • Assist with planning and execution of company meetings, webinars, and live events, including AV setup and monitoring.
  • Document AV configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices in the ticketing system and knowledge base.
  • Train end-users on AV system usage and provide quick-start guides for common setups.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, AV Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2-4 years in AV support or IT support with AV responsibilities.
    • Technical Skills:Proficiency with AV hardware (displays, microphones, speakers, control systems).
    • Experience with video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom).
    • Familiarity with network connectivity for AV systems (IP-based AV, VLANs).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service mindset.

Preferred Certifications

  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
  • Microsoft Teams Rooms Certification
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
