AWS Cloud Developer

The Cloud Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining
scalable cloud-based applications and infrastructure within the company Enterprise IT Solutions
and Innovation Division. This role focuses on building secure, resilient, and modern applications
primarily on the AWS platform, collaborating closely with DevOps, Security, and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for secure and efficient deployments.
• Implement and manage IaC for scalable infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain APIs and web applications in Python/Node.js/C#.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and implement encryption/security best practices.
• Monitor and optimize performance, cost, and reliability of cloud services.
• Collaborate with architects, DBAs, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions.
• Create documentation, job aids, and training materials to transfer knowledge to internal staff.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• AWS Expertise 3 5 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, Lambda/Cloud Functions, IAM).
• CI/CD Tools 3 5 years of experience with GitHub and version control workflows.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Minimum 3 years using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager templates.
• Web Application Development 3 5 years building, deploying, and debugging applications with REST APIs using Python, Node.js, or C#.
• Containerization Minimum 3 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
• Database Skills 3 5 years with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Security & Compliance 3 5 years working with encryption standards, secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault), and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2).

Desired Qualifications (Preferred)

• Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Experience migrating legacy systems to AWS or re-platforming workloads.
• Knowledge of AWS cost optimization strategies (Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, tagging/chargeback models).
• Experience with automated security and compliance enforcement (AWS Config, Security Hub, Lambda policies).
• Experience setting up centralized logging (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk).
• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent.
• Exposure to AI/ML services (AWS SageMaker) and multi-cloud architecture.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (2 3 days on-site at West Sacramento, CA).
