AWS Developer w/ NodeJs

80 % hybrid 20% onsite...(Cockeysville MD 21030)

Year long contract... until 10/06/26...

Description:

You will deliver hands-on AWS development services to support the technical needs of the project team.

Develop, test, and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, and DynamoDB.
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS environments and application integrations.
Optimize application performance and cost efficiency within AWS cloud architecture.
Collaborate with project team members to ensure solutions align with technical requirements and best practices.

Summary: Technical lead for development of back end integration APIs using NodeJS, Kafka, Lambda & EKS

Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance integrations using AWS, NodeJs, Lambda, EKS, Kafka, Mongo DB etc ensuring best practices in coding and security.
2. Optimize application performance by tuning Node.js server configurations, leveraging caching strategies, and using performance monitoring tools.
3. Oversee the deployment of applications - single page Apps and Lambdas as APIs - to AWS cloud platforms using Jenkins, Urbancode, and Terraform, automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
4. Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Urbancode to ensure smooth and automated deployment processes.
5. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members; ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to best practices.
6. Write and maintain unit test cases using testing frameworks such as Jest, Postman, Mocha, or Chai to ensure code quality and reliability.
7. Perform analysis, design, write API Specs using OAS/Swagger, development, and configuration functions, defining technical requirements, and resolving complex defects and incidents.
8. Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and sprint demos; collaborate with Product Owners to define and prioritize the product backlog; ensure the team adheres to agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
9. Utilize JIRA for tracking project progress, managing tasks, maintaining transparency, generating and sharing JIRA statistics and reports to provide insights into team performance, sprint velocity, and project health; ensure accurate and timely updates of JIRA tickets by the team.
10. Gather and report on agreed agile metrics with Deloitte and Client leadership, continually monitoring upcoming risks and dependencies, and steering the team to manage expected outcomes.

Skillset needed:
AWS, Lamda, MERN, Mongo DB, Kafka,Type script and Insurance domain expertise preferred
