AWS Devops Architect - Onsite

Position: AWS Devops Architect
Duration: 12+ months contract
Location: Baltimore, MD (onsite)

JOB DESCRIPTION

SKILLS NEEDED : AWS Devops Architecture, Python, Bash, REST APIs, Configuration Management, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform

Responsibilities of This Role

• Work with our day-to-day operations stories in addition to performing deep investigation into operational issues that impact users and identify root causes
• Utilize monitoring and log analysis systems to identify workflow patterns, dependencies and bottlenecks
• Assist with development of automation via configuration management tools and scripts
• Assist with day-to-day build infrastructure support and customer interaction

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent Linux/Unix administration with emphasis on RedHat
• 3+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, etc)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD fundamentals
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Experience with Configuration Managementplatforms, and IaC tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
• Experience generally with troubleshooting in a diverse technical environment
• Well-versed with Gitand various workflows (forking, gitflow, etc.)
• General knowledge of reverse proxy systems (Nginx, HAProxy, Apache, etc)
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker)

Desired

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience performing administration and monitoring at an enterprise level for the following applications: GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, and Artifactory
• Experience in applying securitybest practices to Linux environments
• Experience applying monitoring technologies to application systems (Nagios, AppDynamics, etc)
• Experience managing and interacting with Kubernetes
• Experience with AWSincluding EC2, RDS, ELB, and EKS technologies
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
