Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ab Initio Developer with 10+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Ab Initio ETL, data warehousing, and big data ecosystems, with proven experience in financial services or banking domains. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, performance tuning skills, and the ability to collaborate with business and technology teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio (Graphical Development Environment, Co>Op, Express>It, Continuous Flows, Metadata Hub, etc.).
Build and optimize complex Ab Initio graphs for high-volume data processing.
Work on data warehousing, data integration, and migration projects within Wells Fargo s enterprise systems.
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance tuning of ETL processes.
Support production deployments, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
Ensure compliance with Wells Fargo s data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
Document technical designs, workflows, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in Ab Initio ETL development.
Strong expertise in:
Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment)
Co>Op, EME, Continuous Flows, Express>It
Ab Initio Control Center (Conduct IT) and Metadata Hub
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux shell scripting.
Strong knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL, data modeling, and relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, or SQL Server).
Experience with performance tuning of ETL jobs for large-scale data processing.
Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, Spark) is a plus.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in banking/financial services domain, preferably with Wells Fargo or similar large-scale enterprises.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Experience with data governance and regulatory compliance projects.
