Job Details

Our client, a technology innovator, is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Advanced, who will design complex electrical systems from concept to production level of high speed, high density digital and analog circuits. Candidates must have a familiarity with RF devices and implementations. The Electrical engineer has experience developing specifications, test plans, and test reports, and is an expert in use of scopes and analyzers for testing purposes. Working with Project, Program and Product Managers and other matrixed teams to develop highly efficient, cost effective, and reliable designs and innovations. May lead a project or team.

Responsibilities:

  • Architects and designs highly complex electrical projects. Completes all phases of the projects. Follows through from concept through final production activities, using established processes.
  • Creates new technologies and solutions based on novel or unique ideas. Ensures new ideas and methodologies are documented.
  • Assists in establishing requirements for highly complex electrical design projects and may lead a team responsible for establishing requirements and coordination of activities of other personnel. Ensure correct features and testing are incorporated in the projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and negotiation skills. Experienced in complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed organization.
  • Develops and applies technical and quality improvements. Works on continuous process
    improvements to enhance efficiencies and reliability of the products and processes.
  • Provides status as a knowledge leader in the hardware design and core teams across multiple engineering disciplines to assist program management to provide technical leadership to a given program.
  • Initiates cross-company collaboration and develops positive relationships with other engineering disciplines.
  • Networks with key contacts outside area of expertise. Interacts with management and customer representatives on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree and 5+ year experience
  • Expert in Microprocessor, microcontroller, Analog, FPGA, memory design and signal integrity
  • Skilled with schematic and layout tools (preferably Mentor PADS Designer), test equipment such as scopes, and frequency analyzers
  • Experienced with PSPICE and familiar with using C, VHDL/Verilog
  • Experienced with or willing to learn basic RF, Compliance requirements and mitigation of EMI, ESD, Immunity issues.
  • Knowledgeable about Ethernet, serial interfaces, and motor controllers
