Job Description

Are you eager to take on engineering challenges that directly impact mission-critical naval systems? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your designs contribute to projects that support the U.S. Navy? If you're ready to grow your expertise while taking ownership of meaningful engineering work, Jered wants you on our team.

As an Advanced Mechanical Project Engineer at Jered LLC, a PAR Systems Company, you'll play a key role in the design, execution, and support of marine system projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers across multiple disciplines-mechanical, electrical, controls, and software-while developing systems that meet rigorous customer and military specifications. From generating CAD models to supporting fabrication and commissioning, you'll gain end-to-end exposure to the engineering lifecycle and make an immediate impact on projects that keep critical maritime operations moving forward.

Success Criteria:

In this role, you'll build on your foundation of mechanical engineering to take ownership of design packages and contribute to project execution. You'll generate detailed CAD models, refine calculations, and prepare documentation that is accurate, compliant, and ready for manufacturing. Success means balancing precision with practicality-designing for manufacturability, cost, and reliability. You'll collaborate with senior engineers, integrate your designs with electrical and control systems, and support fabrication, assembly, and testing. Along the way, you'll learn to anticipate design challenges, strengthen your technical judgment, and grow into a trusted contributor on projects that span the full lifecycle-from concept through commissioning.

We're looking for someone motivated to learn, confident in their engineering fundamentals, and excited to grow in a dynamic project environment. If you're ready to advance your career and contribute to mission-critical naval engineering, this is the role for you.

You've learned about what you'll be doing, here are the benefits you'll gain when you join Jered:
