Job Description

As the Aerospace Quality Manager, you will manage the daily operations of our Grand Prairie site's quality function. You will ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, supporting production teams, and continuously improving quality performance. In this onsite role you will report to the Senior Quality Manager of Transparencies and partners with site leadership to lead alignment with global transparency quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with AS9100 and PPG standards.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with FAA and customer requirements applicable to transparency manufacturing and inspection.
  • \n
  • Lead internal audits, support customer and regulatory audits, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • \n
  • Oversee nonconformance investigations, material review board (MRB) activity, and RCCA implementation.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with site leadership to support daily production and ensure quality gate compliance.
  • \n
  • Provide technical quality support for manufacturing processes, new product introductions, and engineering changes.
  • \n
  • Promote local continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce defects and scrap.
  • \n
  • Maintain quality documentation, records, and traceability for all site processes.
  • \n
  • Monitor quality KPIs and lead data-driven problem solving and performance improvement.
  • \n
  • Support and develop site quality inspectors and technicians, ensuring training and engagement.

Qualifications
    \n
  • Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply

  • You must have or be eligible to obtain top secret clearance
  • \n
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field.
  • \n
  • 10+ years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO 9001, and FAA quality system requirements.
  • \n
  • Experience leading audits, managing CAPA processes, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with quality tools and techniques such as APQP, SPC, FMEA, control plans, and process audits.
  • \n
  • Experience working with ERP or QMS software systems; QAD and eTQ Reliance a plus.
  • \n
  • Experience with interpreting technical drawings and specifications related to aerospace transparencies.
