Job Description:

Position: Agile Analytics Lead

Location: Hybrid onsite (2-3 days/week) in Boston, MA; or New York, NY

Duration: 3-6 month contract-to-hire

Overview:

Our client in the banking industry is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting professional to join their Deposits and Analytics team as an Agile Analytics Lead. This hybrid role blends project management, scrum leadership, and analytics expertise to drive the centralization of analytics for the organization, support strategic reporting, and lead the team's agile transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analytics Centralization:
  • Serve as the quarterback for the centralization of analytics across the organization, ensuring alignment, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Agile Transformation:
  • Spearhead the transition from waterfall to agile methodologies in partnership with technology teams. Drive accountability, process consistency, and agile best practices.
  • Governance & Optimization:
  • Champion governance initiatives, streamline documentation processes, and identify operational efficiencies across the Deposits team.
  • Project & Scrum Leadership:
  • Act as a hybrid Project Manager and Scrum Master, facilitating sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Reporting & Strategy Support:
  • Assist in the development and distribution of analytics reports that support the Deposits team's strategic goals.
  • JIRA Management:
  • Ensure consistent use of JIRA for ticketing and workflow management. Maintain process integrity and transparency.
  • Chief-of-Staff Mindset:
  • Operate with a strategic lens to optimize team operations, support leadership initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in analytics, data science, or technology within a commercial or consumer banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive change.
  • Experience with governance documentation and regulatory standards in a banking context.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in banking environments.
  • Familiarity with agile coaching or transformation leadership.
  • Background in data visualization, reporting tools, or BI platforms.
