We are actively sourcing for an Aircraft Mechanic III - Avionics for our contract located at 9 MXG Beale AFB in Sacramento, CA. The purpose of this contract is to provide Organization (O), Intermediate (I), and Depot (D) Level Maintenance and Modification work on USAF U-2 Aircraft. The Scope of Work establishes a CFT effort to perform U-2 aircraft maintenance. The CFT will perform inspection, and maintenance on U-2 aircraft in accordance with established practices, procedures, and instructions governing USAF Aircraft and Equipment Maintenance Management. The contractor will perform these duties and responsibilities in support of phase or flight line operations as communicated by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and authorized by Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO). 9th MXS Hawk Supervisors will prioritize and coordinate Flight line maintenance operations. Any delay in the phase maintenance as a result of priority flight line maintenance tasking s will not be charged to the contractor. Personnel availability, duty day, priorities and contractual guidelines will be taken into consideration.

Day shift: Mon-Fri; 0700-1600
Swing Shift: Mon-Fri; 1500-2400
Mid Shift: Sun-Thurs; 2300-0800

Aircraft Mechanic III - Avionics job description:

\n

Performs Integrated systems testing, calibration, alignment, troubleshooting and repair of airborne electronic flight control, navigational and heading, and communication systems on all weapon systems.

  • Installs electronic systems, components, or subassemblies in aircraft.
  • \n
  • Performs pretest, operational (functional) or final testing of electronic systems, components, or subassemblies.
  • \n
  • Performs the final tuning, alignment or calibration of electronic systems, components, or subassemblies.
  • \n
  • Troubleshoots electronic systems, components, or subassemblies to determine nature of malfunction and corrective action required.
  • \n
  • Interprets error data in order to properly install integrated electronic systems with minimum downtime.
  • \n
  • Tests integrated electronic systems by thoroughly analyzing operating trends and ensuring any repairs needed are accomplished without undue delay.
  • \n
  • Uses automatic Test Equipment (ATE) to test complete electronic systems.
  • \n
  • Accurately calibrates integrated electronic systems by thoroughly analyzing operating trends and ensuring systems alignment results in acceptable operating parameters.

  • Diagnose malfunctions of integrated systems by thoroughly analyzing operating trends and ensuring repairs are accomplished without undue delay.

WAGE: $49.33
Additional Rate: Health and welfare of $10.50 for each hour worked to be used for medical expenses/health benefits, any unused funds will roll over into a 401k at the end of the year. Cash-in-lieu option available if proof of insurance is shown.
