Job Description

CAI is seeking an Application Architect to create and maintain customized solutions for our client. As an Architect, you will be responsible for design, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based financial applications.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database packages
  • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based financial applications
  • Design and maintain data integration processes for application functionality and reporting
  • Utilize Oracle Fusion Middleware for application deployment, security, and integration
  • Ensure applications align with the clients' accounting practices from a technical perspective
  • Ensure compliance with data security and PCI standards
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and implement solutions
  • Monitor and ensure application performance, security, and compliance with Department and regulatory standards

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in application development using Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, and PL/SQL
  • Experience with Oracle Database development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Middleware components (e.g., WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server)
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Experience integrating applications with enterprise financial systems
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring PCI compliance in application development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
  • Knowledge of application and data security best practices
  • Experience working in a government or public sector environment
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate, Oracle APEX Developer, Oracle Middleware certifications) preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
