Job Details

Position: Application Developer - Sterling Order Management
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: Long Term

JD:

  • 8 10 years of strong development experience in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI).
  • Hands-on expertise in map development, business process modeling, service configuration, adapters, and envelope creation.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS) and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTP, MQ).
  • Proven experience with XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Strong programming skills in Java / J2EE, JavaScript, and Shell scripting for custom service development.
  • Experience with database integration (Oracle/DB2/SQL Server) and SQL scripting.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning, high availability, and troubleshooting in Sterling B2B environments.
  • Strong debugging skills, log analysis, and ability to resolve production issues quickly.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to Sterling File Gateway, Control Center, or ITXA (IBM Transformation Extender Advanced).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Ansible) for CI/CD automation.
  • Working Style & Soft Skills
  • Familiar with Agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban) and iterative delivery.
  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies with focus on automation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong team player, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies and business domains.
