Description

We are looking for an experienced Applications Architect to join our team in West Trenton, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and implementing scalable and secure solutions for our insurance platforms. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical strategies and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:
Design and lead the architecture of insurance systems, including Guidewire platforms such as PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
Collaborate with stakeholders to transform business requirements into technical solutions that are secure, scalable, and efficient.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams utilizing Guidewire, .NET, or Java technologies.
Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and promote best practices across all technical solutions.
Oversee the integration of Guidewire systems with external platforms, including payment systems, data warehouses, and document management tools.
Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend their adoption to enhance system capabilities.
Develop and maintain technical documentation to streamline implementation processes.
Partner with product managers and engineering teams to align technology solutions with business priorities.
Monitor system performance and address any architectural challenges.
Support ongoing system upgrades and ensure compatibility with long-term technology strategies.

Requirements

At least 15 years of experience in solution architecture, application development, or enterprise systems design.
Hands-on expertise with Guidewire platforms, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
Proficiency in either .NET (C#) or Java application development.
Strong experience with system integrations, APIs, and middleware.
Familiarity with insurance industry workflows, platforms, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with business and technical teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications include Guidewire certifications, experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and knowledge of DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies.
