Applied AI Engineer

Role

Join our Competitive Intelligence team as an Applied AI Engineer and help shape the future of data-driven decision-making at BAM. We're seeking a versatile, innovative technologist eager to work at the intersection of AI, analytics, and business strategy. In this role, you'll have end-to-end ownership of the analytics lifecycle-from ideation and research to building and deploying production-grade systems that unlock value from complex data. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions that drive strategic initiatives across the firm. Your initial focus will be on architecting a next-generation, data-driven recruiting pipeline and empowering BAM's Business Development team to attract world-class talent.

Our tech stack is modern and cloud-first, centered on Snowflake and integrating data from platforms like Salesforce, Workday, and a variety of external sources.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with end users to gather requirements and design innovative solutions.
• Lead deep-dive data analyses to inform both strategic and operational decisions.
• Continuously research and implement creative, AI-powered solutions to optimize data-driven recruitment and business development.
• Architect, develop, and deploy advanced data models and algorithms-including cutting-edge generative AI and NLP techniques.
• Build and maintain scalable, cloud-based systems for managing, processing, and analyzing large-scale datasets.
• Design robust data pipelines to seamlessly integrate data from Salesforce and other proprietary sources into Snowflake and other data warehouses.
• Enhance data quality and insights by developing algorithms leveraging NLP and generative AI.
• Evaluate, onboard, and integrate external datasets to enrich our analytics capabilities.

Experience

• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering (ideally in a tech-driven environment).
• 4-10 years of experience working with data at scale, including analytics, engineering, or related roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in data visualization using BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) or custom solutions (D3.js, R) to deliver actionable insights.
• Advanced programming and analytical/statistical skills, with a strong preference for Python.
• Experience with modern data processing frameworks and technologies (e.g., Vector Databases, Apache Airflow, AWS, Spark, Databricks, DBT) is a plus.
• Proficiency in advanced analytics, including Natural Language Processing and generative AI.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling, user-friendly visualizations.
