Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking interns to join our Electrical team in Trevose, PA for Summer 2026!
This posting is specifically for Electrical or Architectural Engineering students in the U.S. that will focus on internal building design work utilizing programs such as AutoCAD, Revit and AGi. We are looking for students who have a specific interest in Electrical Engineering fields. These professionals focus on the inner workings of buildings, including lighting and electrical wiring. Please note - we do not offer any R&D, manufacturing, product development, or electronics internships at this time.

Our Career Exploration Series provides interns with chances to network and learn from the professionals doing the work and growing our business. Interns also complete a series of reflections, problem solving activities, contests, drawings, and create end of summer presentations which help showcase their learning and experiences. Additional networking and trainings specific to the students' areas of study are also made available to students throughout the Summer Internship program.
Our internship program is designed to help grow our organization organically with talented individuals starting their careers all over the country. On average, we make full-time, permanent offers to students approaching graduation within a year more than 50% of the time. We want great talent to start their careers here stay with CED and its affiliates for their entire career!

Responsibilities
- Assist in the architectural application of electrical engineering, including power systems, lighting design, generator design, campus electrical infrastructure, etc.
- Collaborate with technical and design staff to complete billable real-time client work.
- Work alongside junior and senior level engineers to design power, lighting, and fire alarm systems in commercial spaces.
- Assist engineers with design calculations and sizing building Electrical systems
- Network with current Colliers Engineering & Design professionals and gain real-life experience in consulting.
- Work across multiple disciplines with other interns and professional staff.
- In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Electrical or Architectural Engineering or related program from an accredited university or college physically located in the U.S.
- Prior experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or Building design is highly preferred.
- Experience with AGi32 or other lighting software is a plus.
- Highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Interest in building engineering, lighting design, or wiring.
- Great communication skills is a plus.
- Prior internship experience is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
