Job Title: Associate Purchasing Analyst
Job Type: W2 Contract - 6 months, potential to extend
Location: Plymouth, MN
Schedule: M - F 40 hours per week, hybrid potential
Pay Rate: $ 25 - 30 / hour
Position Overview:
The Supply Chain/Purchasing Specialist is responsible for actively managing Parts, Garments & Accessories (PG&A) suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of products to Polaris distribution facilities. This role will coordinate with demand planning analysts to ensure accurate purchasing that supports strategic inventory and service-level objectives to meet customer needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance and improve back-order recovery.
  • Review system-recommended purchase quantities and collaborate with demand planning analysts for accuracy.
  • Approve purchase orders and manage expedite, defer, and cancel messages to achieve fill-rate and inventory goals.
  • Resolve backorder issues while aligning with company objectives.
  • Partner with suppliers to ensure system data integrity (cost, MOQ, lead-time, etc.).
  • Negotiate cost, lead time, and order quantities to benefit Polaris.
  • Coordinate and communicate cross-functionally with multiple departments to achieve business goals.
  • Proactively identify and escalate urgent issues to the supervisor.
  • Perform additional projects and duties as assigned.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Bachelor s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in supply chain management (MRP, logistics, or inventory management)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting)
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and process-improvement abilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and resolve conflicts diplomatically
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
