Position: Associate Regulatory Scientist

Location: Lakeville, MA.

Compensation: Starting at $75,000 annual salary, open to negotiation based on experience level

Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire

Position Description:

The Associate Regulatory Scientist supports product development, innovation and marketing by ensuring compliance with relevant food regulations and standards. This role involves researching and interpreting global regulatory guidelines, providing technical input on product formulation, labeling, and claims, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support innovation and commercialization. The Associate will proactively identify regulatory risks and contribute to the development of compliant, consumer-focused products.

JOB DUTIES:

Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Research and interpret global food, health, toxicology, and sustainability regulations.

Support nutrition and technical aspects of product development and innovation.

Use digital tools and databases to gather and analyze regulatory information.

Assist in preparing technical documentation for product development commercialization, and global launches.

Communicate regulatory insights and risks clearly to internal stakeholders.

Follow established procedures and contribute to continuous improvement in regulatory processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry, Toxicology or a related field; Master's preferred.

1-3 years of experience in regulatory affairs or product development within the food or CPG industry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and regulatory research tools. Familiarity with PLM systems is a plus.

Effective technical communication and project coordination abilities.

Demonstrated accountability, teamwork, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
