Job Description:

Experience Desired: 8+ Years

Seeking an experienced Atlassian Consultant to lead the migration of JIRA projects and workflows to GitLab. This role is critical to our agile transformation and DevOps modernization efforts. You ll work closely with engineering, product, and IT teams to ensure a seamless transition from Atlassian tools to GitLab s integrated platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end migration of JIRA projects, workflows, and data from one JIRA platform to another.
  • Create new JIRA projects along with all necessary dashboards for leadership to review progress and status.
  • Setup new confluence space corresponding to JIRA projects and ensure integration.
  • Conduct pre-migration assessments, data mapping, and stakeholder interviews as needed.
  • Lead activities to set up Gitlab projects corresponding to new JIRA projects and ensure integration as needed.
  • Provide training and documentation for teams transitioning to new JIRA and associated tools.
  • Troubleshoot post-migration issues and optimize workflows
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Agile Coaches, and Product Owners to align tooling with business goals

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Strong understanding of GitLab CI/CD, Agile workflows, and DevOps principles
  • Understanding with OAuth 2.0 integrations and Atlassian APIs as needed.
  • Proficiency in any one of the scripting languages (Python, Groovy, Shell)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in telecom or large enterprise environments
