Location: Baltimore, MD (5 days on-site, local candidates preferred)
an experienced Automation Architect with deep expertise in Selenium and Java to lead test automation strategy and framework development across enterprise applications. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong collaboration with QA and development teams, and a deep understanding of scalable, maintainable automation solutions.
Minimum of 8 years in software QA, with at least 5 years in test automation architecture/design.
Design and implement enterprise-grade test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and related tools.
Define automation strategies for UI, API, and regression testing across web-based applications.
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Guide teams on test design, scripting standards, reusability, and best practices.
Develop and maintain reusable libraries, utilities, and test data management strategies.
Lead automation reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize performance of test suites.
Strong hands-on experience with Java, TestNG/JUnit, Maven, Git, and build pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured) and cloud-based test execution is a plus.
Mentor QA team members and help scale automation coverage effectively across multiple projects.
Excellent communication and leadership skills; experience in Agile environments is preferred.
