Job Details

Seeking an Automotive Hardware Component Test Engineer to join a leading Global Automotive Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test engineering, hands-on experience conducting component and system-level testing, and the ability to apply engineering principles to ensure the performance, feasibility, and compliance of automotive parts and components.

*This will be 4 days onsite 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed test plans and procedures for components and systems within the assigned specialty area.
  • Conduct moderately complex tests to validate design feasibility and confirm that parts/components meet performance targets, design acceptance criteria, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
  • Set up and prepare test equipment, fixtures, and data settings according to testing requirements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of testing, determining when additional testing is required to validate results.
  • Create and manage test specifications, standards, and schedules to support project timelines.
  • Analyze and interpret test data to evaluate performance, predict failures, and identify trends or potential issues.
  • Document and summarize test results, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and completeness in written reports and formal presentations.
  • Recommend design improvements, countermeasures, and corrective actions based on test findings and engineering analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to communicate test results and support product development activities.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of test engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in test planning, execution, and analysis within a technical or automotive environment.
  • Must have experience with Automotive Power Electronics and Systems.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, test methodologies, and analytical tools.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop countermeasures and propose design changes.
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET)
  • In lieu of a degree, 6 years of directly related experience may be considered.
