Azure Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of Data Warehouses and Data Marts leveraging the Azure stack. The ideal candidate will have strong T-SQL development skills, deep expertise in ETL pipeline design (SSIS/Azure Data Factory), and hands-on experience working across Azure services including Azure SQL, Synapse, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and ETL pipelines using SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and queries for data integration and transformation.
• Work with Azure SQL, NoSQL databases, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure cloud services to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for data engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with BI teams to enable data visualization and reporting through Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• Leverage Python, R, or Scala for advanced analytics, data transformations, and automation tasks.
• Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and performance tuning within the Azure environment.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors-degree in Computer science, Computer engineering, or any related area of focus.
• 5+ years of TSQL Development
• 5+ years in designing and Implementation of Data Marts, ETL (SSIS) pipelines and Data Warehouse.
• 2+ years of experience of working in any Cloud environments, with preference to Azure stack including:
  1. Azure SQL, NoSQL
  2. Azure Data factory/SSIS or similar ETL.
  3. Azure Synapse experience preferred.
  4. CI/CD using Azure Devops
• Proficiency in reporting tools like PowerBI, Tableau or Qlikview.
• Proficiency in Python, R and/or Scala.
