RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Azure Security Engineer in Austin, TX.
Summary:
Our Enterprise Technology client is looking for a Security Engineer to help with various security initiatives encompassing the implementation of a new secure Azure Cloud Environment, improving the security posture of the current environment, and ensuring end point security. Join the security team within the infrastructure group supporting a global enterprise collaborative Saas product.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors' degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments
* Strong experience with Azure tenant, subscription, and resource management
* Experience with Azure AD/Entra ID for identity, access, and tenant administration
* Experience and ability to provision, configure, and manage Azure VMs, storage, networking, and identity services
* Experience supporting enterprise-scale video collaboration platforms (e.g., Cisco Webex, WebRTC-based platforms)
* Experience with endpoint configuration and management
* Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights
* Hands-on experience with hybrid environments (on-prem + Azure)
* Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates)
* Familiarity with Azure Policy, RBAC, security groups, and conditional access
* Knowledge of device enrollment, patching, compliance, and endpoint security
* Strong understanding of incident response, availability SLAs, and service performance tuning
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud Ops, networking, security, workplace collaboration)
Preferred:
* Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
* Needing prior experience with FedRAMP and Microsoft Azure
* Some knowledge of endpoint protection using Trend Micro Deep Security, vulnerability compliance scanning with Qualys, security logging using Splunk, etc.
* Familiarity with VDI/DaaS platforms (Windows 365, Citrix, VMware Horizon)
* Exposure to PowerShell scripting or Python automation for tenant and endpoint tasks
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
