Business Intelligence Manager / BI Strategy Lead
Location: Cleveland, OH, New Century, KS (Kansas City) or New Albany, IN (Louisville, KY)
Extremely flexible hybrid schedule in any of these locations
Salary: $125,000-$140,000/yr + bonus + Excellent benefits
Position Summary:
Reporting to the SVP, Corporate Finance, with a dotted line to the Director of Software Engineering, the Business Intelligence (BI) Manager is responsible for leading the BI strategy, development, and implementation of tools and processes that transform raw, unharmonized data from multiple sources into actionable insights. This role oversees data architecture, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security. The BI Manager partners with business leaders including executives, finance, and IT to align analytics initiatives with strategic goals and foster a data-driven culture across the organization.
Essential Functions:
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and own the BI strategy and roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
Foster a culture of teamwork, partnership, and shared accountability.
Lead and coordinate BI teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. This role does not have any direct reports but this may change depending on your interests and capabilities
Data Architecture & Engineering
Help Design, implement, and maintain scalable data architecture using Microsoft technologies. No actual coding or pipeline development is needed in this role
Understand efficient ETL processes.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems and on a standardized basis.
Analytics & Reporting
Define and manage KPIs, business metrics, and analytical models to support decision-making.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into technical specifications.
Deliver actionable dashboards and reports using Power BI and other BI tools.
Project & Stakeholder Management
Drive project teams toward aggressive but achievable timelines.
Maintain project documentation, plans, and regular updates to stakeholders.
Lead project meetings, keeping discussions focused and outcomes actionable.
Skills
Excellent planning, documentation, and communication skills.
Experience in data architecture, ETL, data governance, and security best practices.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and bridge technical and business needs.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Microsoft Fabric.
Willingness for minimal travel domestically
5-10+ years of full-time experience in Business Analytics, Data Engineering, or a related field, including ETL process and data architecture management

Experience with production, manufacturing, ecommerce, sales, supply chain, delivery, logistics or similar industries is helpful
