Job Details

An established financial services organization in Chicago is hiring a Business Analyst on a long term contract to support technology product initiatives and enterprise transformation efforts. This role blends business domain knowledge with technology strategy, making it a key position for bridging business needs with effective technical solutions.

The company is seeking a mid-to-senior level Business Analyst who can partner with product managers, corporate function stakeholders, and engineering teams to define requirements, evaluate solutions, and drive implementation. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative environment where innovation, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making directly support strategic growth. Required Skills & Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in custom development and/or vendor implementations
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong working knowledge of Finance & Accounting or Human Resources processes and technologies (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft GL, OneStream, 15Five)
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and translate business requirements into actionable deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience in asset management, investing, or financial services strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Ability to re-envision and automate processes to enhance scalability and reduce risk
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven mindset
What You Will Be Doing
  • Tech Breakdown: 60% requirements gathering & solution design, 40% process optimization & vendor/engineering collaboration
  • Daily Responsibilities: Partnering with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into technical solutions, evaluating options, supporting implementation, and driving adoption of new systems and processes
