Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in retail systems to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Richmond, Virginia, and offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive impactful projects, and contribute to the success of retail operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and acting as a liaison between technical and operational teams.
Responsibilities:
Analyze vendor-proposed system enhancements and business needs to develop actionable solutions.
Collaborate with engineering teams to draft detailed solution designs for retail systems.
Partner with QA teams to create test plans, including test cases and charters, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Develop, update, and manage project documentation, including installation guides and QA materials.
Coordinate with Retail Systems Project Managers to support project planning and execution.
Serve as the primary liaison between the Retail Systems team and operations/fuel teams for project demands.
Facilitate workgroups with stakeholders to gather and validate business processes, functional requirements, and data rules.
Provide end-user support, including training, troubleshooting, and recommendations for system enhancements.
Act as a point of contact with vendors to oversee the implementation of new software products and projects.
Partner with engineers to establish and maintain project milestones and timelines.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within retail systems.
Proven expertise in convenience store and fuel station environments.
Strong documentation and reporting skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with retail systems such as Radiant and Verifone.
Ability to analyze, plan, and execute projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
Experience in creating risk assessments and training materials for end users.
Knowledge of automation processes and system implementation workflows.
