Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst in Armonk, NY.

Summary:
We are seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to join a large-scale consulting engagement within the utilities sector. The BA will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, solutions are aligned with business goals, and projects are delivered successfully. This role requires a mix of analytical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
* Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements
* Translate business needs into clear specifications for development, testing, and implementation teams
* Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders
* Support solution design discussions and provide insights on process optimization and system improvements
* Develop process flows, business cases, use cases, and user stories as needed
* Assist with testing activities, including test planning, test case creation, and validation of results
* Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps in requirements, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues
* Provide continuous consulting support throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with evolving business needs

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise-scale consulting or IT transformation projects
* Strong background in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
* Experience in the utilities or energy industry preferred
* Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
* Proficiency with BA tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or equivalent

Nice to Have:
* Exposure to ERP, CRM, or data platforms in a business analyst capacity
* Knowledge of customer experience, billing systems, or grid operations within utilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
