We are a fast-growing electrical infrastructure company specializing in the construction of high-voltage substations. Our projects power communities and industries across the country, and we're looking for a driven, technically skilled Business Development Manager to help us expand our footprint.
The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you'll be the face of our company to clients, partners, and prospects. You'll lead the charge in identifying and securing new substation construction projects in the $8-$10 million range. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, understands the technical nuances of substations, and knows how to close deals with confidence and credibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the electrical substation construction market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with utility companies, EPCs, and engineering firms.
- Serve as the technical closer-a subject matter expert who can speak the language of engineers and decision-makers alike.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, estimates, and project strategies.
- Demonstrate strong teaming performance, working cross-functionally to align business goals with execution capabilities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the electrical substation or utility construction space.
- Deep technical knowledge of substation systems, components, and construction processes.
- A blue-collar background with hands-on experience in the field-someone who's earned their stripes and can relate to both crews and executives.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a reputation for trust and follow-through.
- Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
