Description
We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team in Lisle, Illinois. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in BI tools and data analytics to design and implement solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure high-quality data visualization and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, QlikView, QlikSense, or similar platforms.
Analyze and maintain data accuracy and quality to support business decision-making processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs and deliver effective BI solutions.
Gain an in-depth understanding of business processes, including areas such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, General Ledger, Logistics, and Procurement.
Create and manage process documentation and procedures using standard templates.
Organize, prioritize, and track multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met despite shifting priorities.
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities, including pivot tables, formulas, and look-ups, to support data analysis.
Develop and maintain BI solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and workflows.
Adapt quickly to changing project requirements and pivot to other initiatives as needed.
Leverage tools like Jira to manage project workflows and track progress effectively.
Requirements
Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
Excellent communication skills for effectively engaging with various business stakeholders.
Solid understanding of business processes and their impact on BI development workflows.
Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities and meet deadlines.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and look-ups.
Familiarity with coding languages such as DAX or SQL is a plus.
Experience using project management tools like Jira is preferred.
