Description:
Business Systems Analyst - 2 days hybrid in the San Gabriel Area.

We are seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in process development and documentation to join our client's team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in cross-functional environments and is passionate about optimizing business operations through technology and structured documentation.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55 - $65 / hr. w2

Responsibilities: Documentation & Standards Development
  • Draft, revise, and maintain comprehensive documentation for security and operational standards, procedures, and workflows.
  • Establish and manage document control protocols including versioning, formatting, and distribution.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with internal knowledgebase systems and complies with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture technical and procedural knowledge in clear, structured formats.
Process Review & Optimization
  • Review existing standards and processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct gap analyses and recommend actionable changes to streamline operations.
  • Implement approved process changes and monitor adoption and effectiveness.
  • Maintain updated training materials and ensure alignment with revised procedures.
Metrics Development & Enhancement
  • Design new performance metrics to evaluate process effectiveness, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Enhance existing metrics for improved clarity, relevance, and usability.
  • Collaborate with data owners to ensure accurate sourcing and reporting.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to communicate metric outcomes and trends to leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Corporate Security, Engineering, and Project Management teams to ensure documentation and process standards are integrated across functions.
  • Participate in regular check-ins with leadership to report progress, audit results, and recommend interventions.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors when documentation overlaps with external services or deliverables.


Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems development activities.
  • Proven ability to analyze business requirements, system design, and test plans.
  • Strong knowledge of client-server application development and support.
  • Demonstrated ability to model, analyze, design, test, implement, and maintain complex applications.
  • Client-focused mindset with the ability to articulate the impact of technology on business value.
  • Knowledge of data management and business systems analysis.
  • Experience instructing, directing, and reviewing the work of other analysts.
  • Ability to lead projects with moderate budgets or short to intermediate durations.


Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
