Business Systems Analyst II (Technical)
Location: Maryland Heights, MO (Onsite 4 days/week, 4/1 schedule)
Contract: 4 Months (Possible Extension) W2

Job Description
We are seeking a highly technical Business Systems Analyst to support a major ITSM migration project from Cherwell to Ivanti. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in technical environments, analyzing system data, understanding backend workflows, supporting integrations/API requests, and partnering closely with developers and business stakeholders.
You will work within the Ivanti Platform team and play a key role in analyzing existing Cherwell Service Catalog items (approx. 4,900+ subcategories), documenting requirements, supporting migration tasks, and performing functional and regression testing.
Responsibilities
Analyze existing Cherwell workflows, data objects, and service catalog items; translate them into Ivanti-compatible specifications.
Gather and document technical requirements and collaborate with business owners and developers.
Review data sources, perform data analysis, and support data migration from Cherwell to Ivanti.
Participate in system functionality reviews, API/integration analysis, and governance requests.
Perform functional and regression testing for workflows and catalog items.
Provide system support, troubleshoot issues, and validate backend workflow logic.
Work closely with ITSM, development, and business teams to ensure accurate migration and implementation.
Required Skills
2 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
Strong experience with ITSM platforms (Cherwell, Ivanti, ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
Hands-on technical requirements gathering experience.
Experience in regression testing and functional system testing.
Strong data analysis skills (Excel, SQL preferred).
SharePoint experience.
Experience working with APIs, integrations, and backend workflow analysis.
Preferred Skills
Ivanti implementation or migration experience.
Experience migrating from Cherwell to any ITSM platform.
Background in development or scripting is a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and ability to work with business owners and technical teams.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability.
