Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Rate: $35-$37/hour
Location: Hybrid - Addison, TX
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen, , or authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Description:
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs. The BSA works closely with the product team to break high-level feature requirements into detailed technical requirements and user stories for the design and development teams to implement.
The ideal candidate has previous experience preparing user stories for UI design teams and front-end UI developers, and is confident leading agile ceremonies with design and product teams to thoroughly analyze requirements and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Break down large business functions into smaller, actionable components, refining and assigning story points.

Document requirements throughout the full lifecycle: ideation, accessibility/design, development, testing, and release.

Prepare monthly release notes and create presentations for end users.

Conceptualize how features will be implemented through requirement refinement, defining scope, objectives, and solutions to fulfill business requirements.

Collaborate with accessibility and UI/UX teams to refine high-level stories into detailed application workflows.

Understand how fields and requirements tie back to APIs (Swagger).

Lead or participate in scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.

Document technical requirements, solution diagrams, and feature specifications for handover to other teams.

Question and challenge current processes when necessary, applying previous experience and sound judgment.

Multi-task and advance several initiatives simultaneously under immediate supervision.
Qualifications:
-
Associate s degree in a related field (Bachelor s preferred).

3-5 years of experience leading product teams in an agile environment.

Strong knowledge of agile concepts and Jira for managing backlogs and user stories.

Experience working within a scrum team delivering features to production on a regular cadence (monthly).

Ability to write release notes, feature presentations, and solution diagrams.

Solid understanding of REST APIs and ability to read and interpret Swagger documentation.

Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to partner with business teams to translate high-level user stories into actionable UI requirements.
