Buyer III - Hybrid

Genesis10 is seeking a Buyer III. This is a 6+ month, contract position with a manufacturing client in Oak Brook, IL. This role will work on a heavy hybrid schedule, with only 1-4 days per month in the office.

Compensation: $35.00 - 42.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience level.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis (data science, data analytics), resourcing actions, supplier negotiations, surcharge management, reporting, payment resolutions, WMF (waste minimization fund) mitigations, market test and tech review
• Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs
• Collaborate with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations and develop supply recommendations
• Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand
• Coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establish cost for new products
• Participate in design and/or technical reviews and select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.

Requirements:

• SAP and excel (think pivots/vlookups/macros etc.)
• Background in procurement, supply chain, purchasing mandatory (at a global level highly preferred)
• Individuals will manage all tasks/work up to contract signature
• Ability to process/work with large quantities of money
• Preference is 8+ years of experience but open to lower-level skills as well
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications, have logistical knowledge, be able to perform a tech review/quality of product, understand how to navigate for information
