Description
We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our team in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications, ensuring they meet high standards of functionality and reliability. You will work closely with peers to build solutions, resolve technical challenges, and document processes within a structured development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain software applications to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve routine technical issues.
Write clear and detailed documentation to support software processes, policies, and configurations.
Apply programming expertise in languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL to create effective software solutions.
Participate in configuration management to maintain consistency across software releases.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant standards during software development.
Use tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to prepare and present technical reports.
Assist in designing and implementing frameworks to streamline the software release lifecycle.
Communicate effectively with peers to explain technical concepts and solutions.
Support training initiatives by sharing knowledge and best practices with team members.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience in software development.
Proficiency with programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL and Oracle.
Knowledge of configuration management practices and tools.
Experience with HIPAA-regulated environments is a plus.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
