SAP MDG Functional Analyst (with FICO & Data Quality Expertise) Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP MDG Functional Analyst with a strong background in SAP FICO and Data Quality/MDG processes. This is a long-term engagement supporting a major enterprise SAP implementation and ongoing optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of SAP functional experience, with proven expertise in Master Data Governance (MDG), financial master data design, and data quality frameworks.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, SAP technical teams, and data governance teams to design, implement, and maintain MDG solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of SAP functional experience, with proven expertise in Master Data Governance (MDG), financial master data design, and data quality frameworks.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, SAP technical teams, and data governance teams to design, implement, and maintain MDG solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the functional design and configuration of SAP MDG for financial and related master data objects (e.g., GL accounts, cost centers, vendors, customers).
- Collaborate with FICO teams to ensure accurate mapping, integration, and governance of master data across financial modules.
- Develop and implement data quality rules, workflows, and governance processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Conduct workshops with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and propose MDG solutions.
- Support end-to-end data lifecycle management, including cleansing, validation, enrichment, and harmonization.
- Define and maintain data governance policies, roles, and responsibilities.
- Work closely with technical MDG developers to design UI configurations, data models, and process models.
- Participate in system testing, UAT, training, and deployment activities.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements of MDG solutions post go-live.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on data migration and integration projects.
- Document system configurations, functional specifications, and business process workflows.
- 10+ years of overall SAP functional experience.
- 5+ years of SAP MDG functional expertise, with hands-on experience in design, configuration, and deployment.
- Deep understanding of SAP FICO processes and data structures.
- Proven experience with Data Quality tools and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in master data governance design and process workflows.
- Strong knowledge of integration points with other SAP modules (MM, SD, etc.).
- Excellent requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with business and technical teams.
