Work you'll do
  • Support clients with data protection, IoT, and overarching cloud capabilities
  • Implement core and cloud infrastructure security to manage risks and exposure
  • Perform cyber reconnaissance to illuminate a potential attack surface area
  • Provide threat and vulnerability management to federal clients and teams
  • Analyze tactical network architectures and topologies to assess security risks
  • Formulate and implement security certification methods for projects/programs conforming to Government and Federal Cybersecurity requirements
  • Perform duties of an ISSE in execution of Government RMF processes including the completion of RMF process steps in eMASS, the development of RMF artifacts (Security Plan, System Level Continuous Monitoring Plan, Risk Assessment Report, etc.), and the implementation of Security Controls in coordination with development project teams
  • Determine Cyber solutions in collaboration with the PMO and various supporting groups i.e., Software Support Activity, Configuration management

Qualifications

Required:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other technical field
  • 3+ years of relevant cybersecurity engineering experience with DOD or ISR systems
  • Defense sector systems and Cybersecurity/IA experience supporting C5ISR systems experience (with at least 2 of those years directly supporting RMF package development)
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, concepts, best practices, and technologies / tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection, prevention systems, SIEM, antivirus, and vulnerability assessment tools
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security + minimum required
  • Active Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility
Preferred:
  • Master's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other technical field
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is preferred
  • Experience with network security protocols / technology (i.e., VPN, SSL/TLS, DNS, network segmentation)
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) and Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) Instructions related to cybersecurity
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
  • Active Top Secret/SCI government clearance

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Colorado, Jersey City, Nevada, New York City, and Washington State, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,000 to $163,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
