Job Description:

• A CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Engineer is responsible for creating and modifying technical designs and drawings using computer software.


• They play a crucial role in the product development process, collaborating with design teams, engineers, and architects to translate conceptual ideas into detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models.


• We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to join our design team and contribute to the development of innovative products.


• The CAD Engineer will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings, models, and blueprints using CAD software.


• They will work closely with designers, engineers, and architects to translate conceptual designs into accurate and detailed technical specifications.


• The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in CAD software tools.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and objectives.


• Create accurate 2D and 3D models, drawings, and blueprints using CAD software.


• Modify existing designs to incorporate changes and improvements as directed by the project team.


• Ensure that all designs and drawings adhere to industry standards and specifications.


• Experience of GD&T, ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 (2018 preferred).


• Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of designs to identify any errors or discrepancies.


• Work closely with the engineering team to resolve design issues and optimize designs for manufacturability and efficiency.


• Provide support during the prototyping and testing phases, making necessary adjustments to designs as required.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of design changes, revisions, and versions.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the design and development process.


• Stay updated on the latest advancements in CAD software and techniques, and recommend process improvements as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field (Preferred but not required).


• Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or in a similar role.


• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor.


• Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical design standards.


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating and modifying technical drawings.


• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve design issues.


• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment.


• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials is desirable.


• Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software is a plus.
