Job Description - CDO Portfolio Administrator
Max Rate: $19.27 - $40.21
Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CST
Work Setup: Hybrid - 3 days in office (candidate chooses which days)
Location: Chicago, IL 60603
Note: No onsite parking available. Candidates must secure parking or use public transit.

Top 3 Required Skills

Role Summary
The CLO Middle Office team supports and monitors CLO portfolios on behalf of the Collateral Manager. The CDO Portfolio Administrator is responsible for reconciling cash projections and par holdings with the Trustee and for identifying, researching, and resolving discrepancies on a daily basis.
Required Education: Bachelor s degree (Business preferred)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation
  • Collaborate with the Bank Loan Closing team
  • Investigate cash, par balance, and collateral value discrepancies
  • Provide clients with daily cash reporting
  • Complete monthly investor report cash and par tie-outs
  • Ensure high accuracy and proper booking of account activity
  • Track asset attributes such as accruals, ratings, industry codes, and more
  • Settle bond and bank loan trades and invest excess cash as directed by the Portfolio Manager
  • Prepare daily reports and assist analysts with investor reporting

Technical Skills
Must Have
  • Ability to create and understand basic Excel formulas (SUMIF, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Strong navigation and comprehension of Excel functions
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with CDOS+ or similar bank loan custody reporting systems

CDOs are structured finance vehicles that issue debt and equity instruments, using proceeds to purchase collateral such as syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, ABS, MBS, and mezzanine debt. Responsibilities include trade settlement, booking cash activity, tracking asset attributes, and ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness of reconciliation activities.
