Certified Project Manager (Loal to WI COnsultants)

On of our clients is looking for the position of Project Manager based on following skills:

Onsite or Remote: Candidates must be CURRENT WI residents. No relocation is allowed. DWD is currently allowing remote work from within the state of Wisconsin. The contractor must be available online, be present to meet all workload requirements, and must attend all scheduled meetings during DWD standard working hours of 7.45 am 4.30 pm Central Time. DWD can make changes or modifications to this arrangement with a reasonable advance notice.

This is a position needed as a project manager to lead staff in the development, maintenance and support of critical priority applications supported by BITS-UI for division of Unemployment Insurance.

Candidates will play an integral role on self directed work teams in support of high priority development projects. Project work will include application architecture design and development, integration with 3rd party software, data conversion, new development and modifications to existing code. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in leading projects which include designing, creating, and maintaining web services, system integration, web development.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with familiarity of State of Wisconsin application systems, procedures, and development standards and agile scrum development methodology.

CLIENT is currently allowing remote work from home.

The contractor will be required to be available online, be present to meet all workload requirements, and must be available to attend all scheduled meetings during CLIENT standard working hours of 7:45 am 4:30 pm Central Time. CLIENT can make changes or modifications to this arrangement with a reasonable advance notice.

Must have: project management experience, agile/scrum, TFS/AzureDevOps/Jira, previous work in government and claim processing prefered.

Nice to have: Microsoft Azure Cloud experience, application development experience.

12+ years of project management experience

6 years of Agile/Scrum experience

6 years of TFS/AzureDevOps/Jira experience

At least 1 year of previous work in government and claim processing

NOTE: CLIENT prefers that the selected hire resides in the greater Madison area. The contractor must be available to work onsite, including consecutive weekdays or extended periods, without reimbursement for travel, lodging, or parking expenses.

Project details: This need is part of the new modernization project The PM will be leading the staff in the development, maintenance and support of critical applications for the division of Unemployment Insurance.

Additional details: The successful candidate will be highly technically competent, a consistently high producer, a good communicator, and an overall team player.
