Network Data Systems (NDS) is looking for a Wireless Network Administrator.

The On-Site Support Resource will assist with implementation and provide lifecycle management support of the Supplier Managed LAN solution. On-site resource will assist with developing design and testing documentation as well as coordinating testing at deployed sites as required. During the deployment phase of a site deployment, they will work to stage the equipment and to aid the installers at the site with the install effort. They will work to ensure that the Site Readiness and Cutover milestones are met. The On-Site Support Resource will work under the direction of the NOC to assist with configuration changes and service patches. The position, on a daily basis, will perform the following activities: o Review clients current state infrastructure (networking). Objective is to become familiar with the current environment.
o Educate On-Site Support Resource on current WLAN project migration strategy, project timeline and WLAN solution end state.
o Act as a liaison between customer and RMS for issue management.
o Provide remote hands support for RMS NOC, as required.
o Provide on-site operational support and general IT support services at the DC location, Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
o Provide technical networking support related to client WLAN projects and activities that may include design, installation, configuration and troubleshooting support.

o Support the design, test, and integration initiatives.
o Execute installation plans provided by program leadership
o Provide design input through peer reviews as requirements are turned into design documentation
o Perform specific site and core system tests including installation test, deployment tests, functional test, and production release test and finally, acceptance testing for customer signoff.
o Provide technical networking support related to client WLAN projects and activities that may include: design, installation, configuration and troubleshooting support.
o Act as a liaison between customer and RMS for issue management and provide remote hands support for RMS NOC (Network Operation Center), as required.
o Provide on-site support for WLAN network
o Assist NOC with the Cisco Prime WLAN management platform to provide custom reports
o Assist NOC with the installation, configuration and administration server to be used as repository server for Wi-Fi backups, logs, upgrades, and reports.

Skillset: Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Cisco Catalyst Switches (385x, 9200, 9300, 9400), Cisco Prime Infrastructure (PI), Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), Cisco Next Generation Firewall (FPR), IPv4, IPv6, BGP, STP, Campus Network Design

  • At least 5 years total network management experience operating, maintaining, and updating a WLAN network to ensure they are kept up to date to ensure proper operations are maintained.  This includes adding or deleting sites and or network devices, making configuration changes, upgrading Operating Systems, at a minimum.
  • At least 5 years of engineering level network support that includes specific knowledge of:
    • Cisco wireless infrastructure
    • Cisco Access point/authentication, and device management technologies and processes
  • Demonstrate that security policies are met/implemented correctly on network devices, best practices were implemented, new technologies deployed to meet customer needs, software levels were maintained, and global configurations were managed and updated.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with supporting global enterprise Network.
  • Experience using the Microsoft office suite of tools.
  • Experience with the ITIL V3 IT Lifecycle Management Framework.

Must be able to pass Public Trust Level Clearance. Candidates will be required to pass a drug test and criminal background investigation prior to starting the project. The estimated hourly range for this job is $50-65/hr. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that NDS reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
